Gaussian Elimination
A linear system is solved using matrices.

Linear algebra is the study of the linear operators, the simplest example of which are matrices, or boxes of numbers along with a multiplication rule. A typical linear algebra class is taken after calculus II with integrals, although some folks take it right after pre-calculus. The usual topics are gaussian elimination, matrix multiplication, determinants, matrix factorization and eigenvectors. Linear Algebra allows people to understand differential equations, and dynamical systems at a deep level.

Because of the prerequisites and fast pace of a semester long class, linear algebra can be very challenging and it can be helpful to work through problems with someone else. If you’re interested in working with a tutor, don’t hesitate to contact me.
